EDD’S Wine
In the sun-drenched Algarve, where viticulture is a rare art, EDD’s Wine found its true essence. Our family vineyard, carefully cultivated by the Opstelten family — who have called this region home for over two decades — was born from a passionate hobby that quickly grew into a lasting legacy.
With dedication and love, we expanded from 7 to 14 hectares, where we now cultivate a selected range of grape varieties, including the white grapes Arinto, Chardonnay, Viognier and, more recently, Moscatel, as well as the red varieties Touriga Nacional, Syrah and Sousão. We also introduced our 100% Arinto Sparkling Wine, a special milestone in our journey. Each bottle is hand-harvested by family and friends, individually numbered, and filled with the story that defines us.
This diversity allows us to create exclusive wines with a distinct personality and character, offering memorable experiences at the table. We believe our wines are especially appreciated by those who value authenticity and the exclusivity of local products.
The youngest member of the family, little Mike, born nearly two years ago, represents the future of our journey. In his honour, we dedicated a very limited edition of bottles from a special harvest.
We have also launched a new website dedicated to consumers in the Netherlands, where we share our award-winning wines — already featured in renowned restaurants such as the Michelin-starred Rijks in Amsterdam.
